Hi, I am Alicia Anka,
A long-time
yoga instructor, educator and life & health coach. My journey to find balance and contentment in my own life has helped me in all areas of the work that I do. At 53 years old, I have navigated the tricky waters of infertility, of raising children, losing loved ones, going through a divorce and moving countries on my own. All of these challenges have colored my own experience and have helped me gain wisdom and insight that I would not have had otherwise. I am also a strong believer in always looking inward and continuing to grow as a person, so I seek out a lifestyle that allows me to do just that.
As an educator,
I have worked with students of all ages, teaching ESL and English both in the US and abroad. My approach with teaching is to help students find what they are passionate about while supporting them in their self discovery and helping them gain the tools that they need to succeed.
As a yoga instructor,
I use my 30 year, personal practice and various certifications in Vinyasa Flow, Yin and Kids Yoga to create dynamic yet mindful alignment and theme-based classes that help students get in touch with their bodies and breath, as well as their hearts.
As a health and life coach
I meet teen and adult clients where they are at in order to begin the journey of creating a more purposeful and well-balanced life. If it’s health you are concerned about, we look at your goals and then unpack exactly what you are eating, what your health habits are, what your movement level is before designing a plan that will lead you to achieve those goals. If you are struggling to find work-life balance, to get better grades in school, to have more meaningful social relationships, to move through a break-up, a move, or a divorce with grace, or if you simply aren’t leading your best life, we will use our sessions to set goals, uncover your obstacles and to create small changes that can lead to huge shifts in your own life, as well as the lives of those you love.
